Our experience and therapeutic options set us apart from other physicians who treat patients with psoriasis. We have expertise in prescribing topical therapies, systemic medications, and providing phototherapy. For over 40 years Norman Lockshin has been successfully treating patients with phototherapy. Additionally, Dr. Lockshin was involved in the initial Enbrel clinical trials and we continue to work with the pharmaceutical companies to bring newer medications to the market. At the Clinical Trials Center at DermAssociates, we offer patients suffering from challenging psoriasis unique access to medications that are not available to other physicians.
Dr. Benjamin Lockshin is actively involved in psoriasis advocacy and research groups. He has given over a 100 local, regional, and national talks on psoriasis. OF note, he was the 2013 keynote speaker for the Walk for the Cure event in Washington D.C. and has spoken at other National Psoriasis Foundation events. He is currently on the board of directors for the Foundation and is the chair of the research committee. Dr. Benjamin Lockshin is one of few dermatologists in the region who has been chosen as a member of GRAPPA (Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis), an organization exclusively comprised of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis experts to facilitate sharing of information related to psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
At the Psoriasis Treatment Center, we work closely with other experts to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. Since up to 30% of patients with psoriasis have, or will develop, arthritis, the physicians at The Psoriasis Treatment Center work in concert with a team of exceptional rheumatologists to ensure that we effectively manage any possible joint involvement. Additionally, we often work in tandem with a cardiologist and a nutritionist to help assess the cardiometabolic impact that has recently been associated with psoriasis.
Our facility, with its comprehensive approach, ensures that you get the best possible care. We look forward to working with you.
